I was given a random topic to create a set of five unique icons. Sketching was a very key element in creating icons, especially when producing a cohesive style among them. I utilized black and white for the base colors before going back and adding two new colors for a color version of the icon. For the icon colors, I wanted to do something similar to the colors commonly used within commercial transportation. A low-value gray and a high-value orange gave the icons higher visibility, even at a smaller scale of 16x16 pixels. Using rounded edges within the icons gives them a more streamlined appearance that is better suited for commercial space.
